I got early into photonics like @crux_capital_ I started with $AAOI in the low $20s.. It’s now pushed past $50. That trade worked because it moved from “story” to real volume orders. Now I’m rotating some gains but let’s be clear: not every photonics name deserves that capital. $ALMU = DARPA-backed, strong balance sheet, still R&D-heavy. Long runway, slow burn. $POET = Direct AI optics leverage, real 800G order coming 2026, but extreme valuation and dilution risk. Only one of these fits my style: I rotate into the name with the clearest path from lab > binding volume > scaling revenue. Photonics hype is rising. Execution will separate winners fast.

Classic Wall Street lag. I was buying $AAOI in the $20s while analysts were asleep. Posted that they need to wake up at $44. Now it’s $58. I’ve already booked gains and rotated. Street’s average PT? $38. Still modeling yesterday’s story. Price moves first. Targets follow. Wake up!

Loaded up more photonics today we’re still way too early. You ever heard of the false consensus effect? It’s when you think “everyone knows this” just because you and your circle do… when in reality it’s still early..

I was early on $AAOI rotated into $TSEM and it’s starting to play out.. The edge isn’t owning everything in the photonics supply chain. Having 1–2% in everything doesn’t move the needle. It’s understanding the full stack, then sizing up the biggest winners. The map gives you direction. Positioning is where you make money.

AI Trade Part I I keep thinking about what happens after these upcoming IPOs.. Anthropic, OpenAI and SpaceX could bring nearly $3T of value to public markets within months. It's where the money goes. Anthropic and OpenAI aren't buying mature businesses. They're funding an arms race. Every new model requires more GPUs, more networking, more HBM, more optical interconnects, more power and more data center capacity. The bottleneck isn't intelligence anymore. It's infrastructure. That's why I keep holding the "AI Trade" $NBIS $AAOI $AEHR $TSEM $MU and others.. I see future purchase orders for the entire AI supply chain.

I went all-in on $AAOI around $30. Took profits above $60.. Bought back in the $80s. Rode it to over $200. Now I'm buying again in the $80-90s. I don't chase momentum. I buy inflection points.
