@choffstein I'm often misunderstood. My comments on Hyperliquid and my comments on Hyperliquid clients are related but separate. Also this is how I learn because I value those who have more information than me. Owning a venue where sustainable volumes of speculation and investing are done is interesting and I get the value proposition and was a buyer of HYPE coin lower and think it could easily double near term. There are interesting macro implications and interesting idiosyncratic amongst the various exchanges both tradfi and defi that I am tracking and learning That said I am full stop against retail investors taking 50x leverage on things that move 2% a day. Those that market this sort of gambling for their own self interest are fucking scum. Same applies to those who marketed Libor squared products to Orange County and those who market prediction markets and sports gambling on TV. And mega millions lotteries. It's all a grift and my followers should be better informed before they lose all their money to the grifters just like all the bucket shop clients lost all their money to the bucket shops
